It's always gratifying when Dancing on the Elephant wins awards at film festivals, but audience awards are especially exciting for us. We know how much the film moves people when they see it. Audience members always laugh a lot, and they are always moved – tears are pretty common in the screenings, as well, and there are always lines of people after the Q&A sessions wanting to share how the film touched them and connected to their own experiences. Thank you to the audience at the Available Light Film Festival in Whitehorse, Yukon (“Canada's largest film festival north of 60°”) for recognizing Elephant as the Audience Choice Award Runner Up.
